Solid Oak Secretary from 1890s of exceptional condition and patina. This cabinet's top allows two shelves to rest in a myriad of levels, sitting atop 6 inch long wood peg brackets at each side. Finish on the piece remains ideal after a century of use since crafted in Indiana as its old manufacture tag shows (photo gallery). The cabinet merely sits atop the open groove within the base, sitting snug and sure. Open the desk base to a writer haven of slots, boxes and leather writing top. Desk space is larger than many workstations when the dropfront is down.  At the writing surface, desk height fits taller leg space easily, worth a taller chair for shorter stature persons who appear domineering as its owner.
